I was wondering...

I was wondering about the build of this style, is it purely katas? I've had a look around, but I can't find anything other than history, lineage and katas... Does this system contain weapons, does it have kumite, does it have sparring? Could someone more knowledgeable than me please add some information abut the system itself?

Campbell Sensei's response,

I was wondering about the build of this style, is it purely katas? I've had a look around, but I can't find anything other than history, lineage and katas...
No. Kata is one physical method of training. None of the chief instructors have published any online information about the art form. Ryueiryu is a private and closed family system so it is difficult to find anything [particularly online and] especially when compared to popular and public art forms which have been more openly published.

Does this system contain weapons, does it have kumite, does it have sparring?
Yes. Ryueiryu does have weapons, sparring, & kumite.

Among the kobudo practiced in ryueiryu are the following weapons: sai, kama, renkuwan, tinbe, gekiguan, kon, bisento, yari, taofua, suruchin, dajio, nunchuku, tankon, gusan, hankon, sansetsu-kon, tsue, and others.

Within this interview Sakumoto Sensei himself states several weapons including: bo, sai, kama & suruchin.
